Dr. Omid Farzadian has joined Nazarbayev University in 2018 as a postdoc on a full-time contract.
He completed his PhD in 2016 with a specialization in Condensed Matter Physics. His research interests span Statistical Mechanics and Computer Simulation of disorder lattices as well as Localization Theory. In his recent research activity Dr. Farzadian studies the effects of short- and long-range correlations on the wave transmission through the nonlinear lattices with possible application for biological complex systems such as DNA chains.
He obtained his BSc degree in Physics/solid state physics from the University of Zanjan, Iran, as well as his MSc degree in Physics/condensed matter physics from the Institute for Advanced Studies in Basic Sciences (IASBS) Zanjan, Iran. Dr. Farzadian did his PhD in soft condensed matter physics from the Institute for Advanced Studies in Basic Sciences (IASBS) Zanjan, Iran.
